What's free, what a licence adds, and what the cloud subscription is for.
Jompter is free on your Mac. Dictation, prompts, the MCP hand-off to your coding agent, AI transforms, translation and Speak all run on local models with no card, no trial clock and no limit — and they work offline in Local mode.
Four heavier features are free within limits: 20 screenshots a day, 5 screen recordings, 3 boards, and 1 remote session a day (10 minutes). Your first 14 days have no limits at all.
A licence removes every limit, forever. Cloud transcription and cloud transforms are a separate subscription — the local ones stay free.

Your first 14 days have no limits at all, so you can see the whole app before deciding.
You can hold more than one at a time — a lifetime licence for offline work and a cloud subscription, for instance. Each grants its own powers.
Jompter Remote is free for one 10-minute session a day. A lifetime licence, a cloud subscription or a beta grant removes the limit. Remote relays video through a service billed by the gigabyte, which is why the free session is capped rather than open.
The free Cloud trial
Jompter Cloud — hosted transcription and cloud AI transforms — has its own free trial: 7 days and up to 10,000 transcribed words, no card. Start it from the Use Jompter Cloud card in the Mac app's sidebar, not from the website. It is optional: everything local stays free whether or not you ever start it. One trial per account and per device.
Licences
- Lifetime — pay once and every free limit is gone for good: unlimited screenshots, screen recordings, boards and Remote. A licence also works signed out.
- Yearly — the same, for a year. You can upgrade to lifetime later, which issues a replacement key you must activate again.
A single-seat licence can move to a different Mac at most once every 30 days. Re-activating the Mac you just left is a free undo. Activate a key in the app under Settings → Account → License; the key itself lives on the website under Billing.
Cloud subscriptions
Cloud plans run transcription and AI transforms on our servers, within fair-use windows — a rolling 5-hour session and a rolling 7-day week.

Heavy also gets a priority queue.
Reaching a limit never costs you anything and never stops your work. Jompter falls back to the on-device model until that window resets. Watch your position on Usage.
Local and Cloud mode
Separate from what you bought is where the work runs. The pill in the app header switches between them.
- Local — on your Mac, offline, after a one-time model download.
- Cloud — on our servers, instant, needs internet.
Local is free for everyone. A cloud subscription gives you Cloud.
