All keyboard shortcuts

Every keyboard shortcut in Jompter for Mac, by screen: the global hotkeys for dictation, screenshots and Speak, plus annotation and editor keys.

Global

Work anywhere in macOS. All six keys are rebindable in Settings → General → Shortcuts, and Reset to defaults there puts them all back.

ShortcutAction
⌘⇧JShow / hide the Jompter window
⌘⇧SCapture a screen region
⌘⇧FCapture the whole screen the pointer is on
Right ⌘Tap to open the dictation bar · hold to dictate
Right ⌥Dictate hands-free — tap to start, tap again to stop · or hold, click into a field, and let go
⌘⇧ASpeak the current selection
Three-finger trackpad clickOpen the bar · click-and-hold to dictate

Dictate accepts a key combination or a lone modifier key. Dictate hands-free accepts a lone modifier only, and never the same one as Dictate. A key already used by another Jompter shortcut, or one another app holds, is refused and the old key stays. The trackpad gesture can be turned off. How recording a new key works is on Keyboard shortcuts.

Conventions across the app

  • Esc closes the settings panel, the model drawer, the video lightbox, fullscreen video, the frame montage, the region picker, action menus and overlay pickers — and cancels a shortcut rebind in progress.
  • ← and → move through the video lightbox.
  • Enter submits a licence key, a pairing code, or a device rename.

The Prompts search box shows a ⌘K hint. It is decorative — the shortcut is not bound. Click the box.
