AI agents on your board
Let Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, OpenCode or Claude Desktop draw diagrams and wireframes on a Jompter board.
An AI agent connected to Jompter MCP can create boards and draw on them — diagrams, flows and wireframes — while you watch it build. This page is about the drawing. Connecting the agent, the access key, security and troubleshooting are on the Jompter MCP page.
Quick setup: click MCP in the top-right of the Jompter window, turn on Let agents draw on your boards, copy the snippet for your agent, and install the Board skill. Step by step →
Asking for a drawing
Copy the board ID chip from an open board and tell your agent which board to work on:
Draw the auth flow on Jompter board 3f9c2a1e as a sequence diagram.Agents can create, rename, list and delete boards (a deleted board goes to Recently deleted); add rectangles, ellipses, diamonds,
text, lines and arrows in batches; move, restyle, duplicate, lock, group, align and
distribute them; bind arrows between shapes; look at the board and describe it; set the
viewport; import Mermaid; and export a PNG or the raw .excalidraw scene.
They also have a library to draw from. About 200 ready-made components — form fields, buttons, toggles, banners, a pricing table, a landing page, and 32 chart types — plus around 2,000 icons. An agent searches it and places what it finds, so "sketch a signup screen" comes back looking drawn rather than assembled out of rectangles. It all ships inside the app: nothing is downloaded, and it works offline.
A placed component is ordinary shapes, so you can pull it apart and restyle it by hand. A placed icon is a picture — you can move and resize it, but not recolour it.
They check their own work. An agent can render the board as a picture to look for overlaps and cramped labels. The whole board is scaled down to fit, so on a big diagram the text becomes too small to read; the agent can instead frame one region at full size by naming the shapes in it, and a scaled-down picture comes back with a warning saying so. The Board skill teaches agents to do this.
Two things they cannot do:
- There is no step-by-step undo. An agent that makes a mess rolls the whole board back to a checkpoint or a named snapshot instead — and so can you.
- There is no freehand tool. Freedraw is by hand only.
